The Krug Rosé 19ème Edition is a spectacular manifestation of the House of Krug's obsession with individuality and blending. Conceived around the harvest of 2007, this multi-vintage rosé is a blend of 51% Pinot Noir, 21% Chardonnay, and 28% Meunier, incorporating 43% reserve wines from nine different years dating back to 1995. The soul of this cuvée is elevated by the addition of a specially selected, skin-macerated red Pinot Noir from Aÿ, which imparts its signature pale pink hue, spicy complexity, and structural authority. Fermented in traditional small oak casks, it spent at least seven years aging on its lees in the Reims cellars. The history of Krug Rosé dates back to 1983, when Henri and Rémi Krug secretly crafted the first bottles to surprise their father, Paul Krug II, proving that a prestige rosé could match the complexity of their legendary Grande Cuvée.
