Hailing from the historic wine-growing village of Gumpoldskirchen in Austria's Thermenregion within Niederösterreich, Weingut Krug has a family winemaking heritage dating back to 1746. The Zweigelt Reserve represents a premium expression of Austria's most widely planted red grape, grown in a unique microclimate heavily influenced by the warm Pannonian winds and sheltered by the Anninger hill. The soils here—rich in limestone and clay—impart a distinct minerality and structure to the wine.
