La Rioja Alta, S.A., globally revered for its legendary red wines, also preserves the ancient Spanish craft of distillation through its Armenteria line. Armenteria Orujo Blanco is a traditional pomace brandy (orujo) crafted from the remaining grape skins, seeds, and stems of the estate's high-quality harvest, primarily Tempranillo and Viura. Distilled using traditional copper alembics, this crystal-clear spirit captures the very soul of the Rioja terroir. Historically, orujo was distilled by traveling alambiqueiros who moved from village to village after the harvest. Today, La Rioja Alta honors this heritage, producing a spirit characterized by intense aromas of dried stone fruits, fresh table grapes, and a whisper of wild herbs, delivering a smooth, warming, and clean finish.

Founded in 1890 by five visionary Riojan and Basque families in Haro's historic Barrio de la Estación, La Rioja Alta, S.A. stands as one of the most enduring benchmarks of classical Rioja winemaking.
