✨ wine.spec_sheet

La Rioja Alta, S.A., established in 1890 in Haro's historic Barrio de la Estación, is a legendary bastion of traditional Rioja winemaking. Viña Arana, named in honor of the Arana family—one of the winery's founders—underwent a historic evolution starting with the 2012 vintage, transitioning from a classic Reserva to a prestigious Gran Reserva. This wine is a masterful blend dominated by Tempranillo, which provides structure and plush red fruit, complemented by a touch of Graciano for vibrant acidity and floral lift. The grapes are harvested from old vines in Rodezno, where cool Atlantic breezes preserve freshness. True to the estate's legendary craftsmanship, the wine is aged for three years in custom-made American oak casks, meticulously racked by candlelight every six months to gently clarify the wine and develop its signature bouquet of sweet spices, tobacco, leather, and balsamic undertones.
