Born from a celebrated collaboration between the legendary Islay distillery and actor Nick Offerman, the Lagavulin 11 Year Old Offerman Edition Charred Oak Cask is a testament to both traditional Scottish craftsmanship and a shared love for wood and smoke. Distilled on the rugged south coast of Islay, this single malt undergoes Lagavulin's signature slow distillation in pear-shaped stills before aging for eleven years. It is then finished in heavily charred active American oak casks, a process that imparts intense notes of sweet vanilla, red berry compote, and warm baking spices to the distillery's classic maritime peat smoke and brine. This expression beautifully marries the wild, untamed coastal character of Islay with the rich, caramelized wood sugars of deeply charred oak.
