Part of Diageo's highly prestigious Prima & Ultima collection, this rare 28-year-old Lagavulin single malt was distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2021. Selected by Master Blender Maureen Robinson, this expression represents a historic marriage of whiskies matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry-seasoned casks and refill hogsheads. Lagavulin's legendary slow distillation in pear-shaped stills on the windswept shores of Islay yields a spirit of immense depth. Over nearly three decades of coastal maturation, the distillery's signature intense peat smoke and maritime brine have beautifully integrated with the rich, dark fruit sweetness of the PX sherry wood, creating a complex tapestry of dark chocolate, bonfire smoke, and salted caramel.
