Lanson's Black Label Brut NV is a legendary expression of the house's historic style, first named in 1937 as a tribute to the British market and the Royal Court, which has favored Lanson since Queen Victoria awarded them a Royal Warrant in 1900. Sourced from numerous crus across the Champagne region, this non-vintage cuvée is defined by Lanson's traditional avoidance of malolactic fermentation. This deliberate choice preserves a vibrant, crisp acidity and pristine freshness, allowing the wine to age gracefully. The blend is dominated by Pinot Noir for structure and power, supported by the elegance of Chardonnay and the round fruitiness of Pinot Meunier, enriched with a significant proportion of reserve wines. It undergoes extended cellar aging on its lees for at least three years to develop complex notes of brioche, honey, and baked apple while maintaining its signature mouthwatering vitality.

Champagne Lanson blev grundlagt i 1760 af François Delamotte og fik sit nuværende navn i 1837 under Jean-Baptiste Lansons ledelse. Huset hører til blandt de ældste og mest prestigefyldte i Reims.
