Founded in 1760, Champagne Lanson is one of the oldest heritage houses in Reims, recognizable by the Maltese Cross on its label—a nod to the founder's son who was a member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. The Brut Black Label is the house's signature non-vintage cuvée, celebrated for its vibrant, mouth-watering freshness. Unlike many of its peers, Lanson historically avoids malolactic fermentation, ensuring the wine retains its brilliant, crisp acidity and exceptional aging potential. The blend typically centers on Pinot Noir for structure, complemented by Chardonnay for elegance and Meunier for fruitiness. Sourced from numerous crus and enriched with a high proportion of reserve wines, this Champagne undergoes extended cellar aging on the lees to develop its signature complexity of green apple, citrus, and toasted brioche.

Champagne Lanson blev grundlagt i 1760 af François Delamotte og fik sit nuværende navn i 1837 under Jean-Baptiste Lansons ledelse. Huset hører til blandt de ældste og mest prestigefyldte i Reims.
