✨ wine.spec_sheet

To celebrate its landmark 250th anniversary, Champagne Lanson crafted the Extra Age Brut, a masterclass in blending that marries the house's historic non-malolactic style with extended cellar aging. This cuvée is a select blend of outstanding vintages sourced exclusively from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards. By combining Pinot Noir for structure and power with Chardonnay for elegance and finesse, and aging the wine on its lees for a minimum of five years in Lanson's historic Reims cellars, the house achieves a magnificent tension. The signature absence of malolactic fermentation preserves a vibrant, laser-like acidity, which is beautifully rounded out by complex, mature notes of wild honey, toasted brioche, and baked orchard fruits.

Founded in 1760 by François Delamotte, Champagne Lanson is one of the oldest Champagne houses, located in the historic city of Reims within the Champagne region of France. Renowned for its distinctive style, the house traditionally avoids malolactic fermentation to preserve the natural crispness, vibrant acidity, and exceptional aging potential of its wines. Lanson's portfolio is anchored by its iconic Black Label Brut NV and Rose Label Brut NV, alongside prestigious cuvées like the Noble Cuvée and the rare Clos Lanson, sourced from a historic walled vineyard in the heart of Reims. Today, the house continues to champion sustainable viticulture, blending centuries of heritage with a commitment to freshness and elegance.
