✨ Technical Specifications
To celebrate its landmark 250th anniversary, Champagne Lanson crafted the 'Extra Age' range as an ultimate tribute to the house's historic art of blending. The Extra Age Brut Rosé is a prestigious multi-vintage cuvée that marries the complexity of three exceptional vintages, aged for a minimum of five years on the lees in Lanson's historic chalk cellars. Sourced exclusively from Grand Cru and Premier Cru plots, the blend highlights Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims for structure and delicate red fruit character, alongside Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs for elegance and mineral precision. True to Lanson's time-honored philosophy, the wine avoids malolactic fermentation, preserving a vibrant, mouthwatering acidity that beautifully balances its rich, autolytic notes of brioche, wild strawberry, and redcurrant.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1760 by François Delamotte and later renamed under the leadership of Jean-Baptiste Lanson in 1837, Champagne Lanson is one of the oldest and most prestigious houses in Reims, France. Long celebrated for its distinctive winemaking philosophy, the house traditionally avoids malolactic fermentation to preserve the intense freshness, vibrant acidity, and remarkable aging potential of its cuvées. Lanson sources fruit from premier and grand cru vineyards across Champagne, culminating in a refined portfolio anchored by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Its distinguished range spans the iconic Le Black Création, exceptional vintage releases, the single-vineyard Clos Lanson, and the prestigious Noble Champagne series.
