House Lanson, founded in 1760, stands as one of the oldest and most venerable names in Champagne, celebrated for its historic ties to the British Royal Court since the reign of Queen Victoria. The house's signature style is defined by a steadfast commitment to traditional vinification, most notably avoiding malolactic fermentation. This technique preserves a vibrant, mouth-watering acidity and pristine fruit purity. 'Le Vintage' is crafted only in exceptional years, drawing from a prestigious selection of Grand and Premier Cru vineyards, predominantly blending Pinot Noir for structure and power with Chardonnay for elegance and finesse. Aged for several years on the lees in Lanson's historic chalk cellars, this cuvée develops a complex tapestry of toasted brioche, ripe citrus, and flinty minerality, embodying the tension and longevity for which the house is legendary.

Established in 1760 by François Delamotte and later rebranded under the stewardship of Jean-Baptiste Lanson, Champagne Lanson ranks among the oldest and most historically significant Maisons in Reims. Operating today under the Lanson-BCC group with Chef de Cave Hervé Dantan directing vinification, the house sources Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier across approximately 400 hectares, including 60 hectares of estate vineyards managed sustainably with parcels certified organic and biodynamic. Terroirs encompass grand and premier crus spanning the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, complemented by the notable urban walled vineyard Clos Lanson rooted in pure chalk. Lanson’s vinous signature is defined by its steadfast historic practice of blocking malolactic fermentation across its core range, preserving sharp malic tension, nerve, and structural longevity, balanced by extended lees contact and sizable reserve wine additions. Flagship releases include Le Black Création, the prestige Noble Champagne, and the single-vineyard Clos Lanson Blanc de Blancs.
