Rooted in chalk-rich Premier and Grand Cru parcels predominantly situated across the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, this vintage expression is built around a Pinot Noir-dominant framework balanced by Chardonnay. Fermentation takes place primarily in temperature-controlled stainless steel, adhering to the house hallmark of completely blocked malolactic fermentation to retain vibrant malic acidity and structural precision. Following secondary bottle fermentation, the wine undergoes an extensive maturation regimen resting on its lees in deep chalk cellars for at least five to ten years prior to disgorgement, yielding significant autolytic complexity without diminishing the signature crystalline tension.

Established in 1760 by François Delamotte and later rebranded under the stewardship of Jean-Baptiste Lanson, Champagne Lanson ranks among the oldest and most historically significant Maisons in Reims. Operating today under the Lanson-BCC group with Chef de Cave Hervé Dantan directing vinification, the house sources Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier across approximately 400 hectares, including 60 hectares of estate vineyards managed sustainably with parcels certified organic and biodynamic. Terroirs encompass grand and premier crus spanning the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, complemented by the notable urban walled vineyard Clos Lanson rooted in pure chalk. Lanson’s vinous signature is defined by its steadfast historic practice of blocking malolactic fermentation across its core range, preserving sharp malic tension, nerve, and structural longevity, balanced by extended lees contact and sizable reserve wine additions. Flagship releases include Le Black Création, the prestige Noble Champagne, and the single-vineyard Clos Lanson Blanc de Blancs.
