Founded in 1760, Champagne Lanson is one of the oldest houses in Reims, historically distinguished by its traditional decision to avoid malolactic fermentation. The Vintage Collection Brut represents the absolute pinnacle of this longevity, consisting of rare, late-disgorged library releases that have matured for decades on their lees in the house's labyrinthine chalk cellars. Typically crafted from a Pinot Noir-dominant blend balanced by Chardonnay sourced from prestigious Grand and Premier Cru vineyards, these Champagnes offer a majestic dialogue between youthful freshness and deep, tertiary complexity. Each bottle bears the Maltese Cross, a historic emblem adopted in 1837 when the founder's son, a member of the Sovereign Order of Malta, took stewardship of the house.

Champagne Lanson blev grundlagt i 1760 af François Delamotte og fik sit nuværende navn i 1837 under Jean-Baptiste Lansons ledelse. Huset hører til blandt de ældste og mest prestigefyldte i Reims.
