Unlike the standard 10-year-old, this cask-strength version is bottled straight from the wood without chill-filtration or dilution, typically hovering around 55% to 60% ABV depending on the batch. The whisky is matured in charred ex-bourbon barrels, which tempers the fierce, peat-smoke fire with notes of sweet vanilla, toasted oak, and spice.
