Grand Si cle is Laurent-Perrier's ultimate expression of Champagne excellence, conceived in 1959 by the visionary Bernard de Nonancourt. Defying the traditional industry convention that a prestige cuv e must be a single vintage, de Nonancourt sought to 'recreate the perfect year' by blending three complementary, exceptional vintage years declared by the house. This unique philosophy combines one vintage for structure, one for freshness, and one for complexity. The blend typically consists of approximately 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir, sourced exclusively from 11 of Champagne's most prestigious Grand Cru villages, including Ambonnay, Bouzy, Avize, and Cramant. Aged on its lees for a minimum of ten years before release, Grand Si cle is celebrated for its brilliant gold color, remarkable tension, and a multi-layered aromatic profile of candied citrus, toasted brioche, fresh honey, and roasted almonds, epitomizing the pinnacle of blending artistry.
