✨ Technical Specifications
Laurent-Perrier's La Cuv e is the quintessential expression of the house's signature style, defined by freshness, elegance, and purity. Crafted after a meticulous selection process, this non-vintage Champagne is sourced from more than 100 of the finest crus in the region. Unusually for a house's flagship Brut, La Cuv e features a remarkably high proportion of Chardonnay—typically over 50%—complemented by Pinot Noir and a touch of Meunier. This blend is further enriched by up to 30% reserve wines to ensure absolute consistency across releases. The wine undergoes an extended aging period of around four years on its lees in the cool chalk cellars of Tours-sur-Marne, far exceeding the legal minimum. This slow maturation coaxes out delicate aromas of fresh citrus, white flowers, and subtle notes of brioche, all supported by a vibrant, mineral-driven backbone that reflects the region's famous chalky terroir.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1812 in Tours-sur-Marne by André Michel Pierlot and established under its enduring name by Mathilde Emilie Perrier, Champagne Laurent-Perrier is one of the world's most prestigious and family-owned Champagne houses. Under the visionary post-war leadership of Bernard de Nonancourt, the house pioneered an avant-garde winemaking philosophy centered on freshness, finesse, and Chardonnay-driven elegance, famously adopting stainless steel vats early on to preserve absolute aromatic purity. Laurent-Perrier is celebrated for shaping modern Champagne trends, boasting an iconic portfolio that includes the trailblazing zero-dosage Ultra Brut, the benchmark maceration-crafted Cuvée Rosé, and the illustrious prestige cuvée Grand Siècle, composed from multiple declared vintage years.
