This exceptional Premier Cru is a historic Hospices de Beaune cuvée, meticulously selected at auction and aged by Maison Louis Jadot. Named in honor of the Forneret family—prominent 19th-century benefactors who bequeathed prime vineyard holdings to the charity hospital—this wine represents a centuries-old tradition of Burgundian philanthropy and viticulture. Crafted from select Premier Cru parcels within Savigny-lès-Beaune, primarily Les Vergelesses, the wine reflects the unique microclimate of this side valley. The soils, rich in limestone and iron-infused clay, impart a distinct mineral tension and structural elegance. Jadot's traditional élevage in French oak barrels coaxes out a refined expression of Pinot Noir, balancing bright red berry fruits with earthy, forest-floor complexity and fine-grained tannins.
