Hailing from the rolling hills of the Mâconnais in southern Burgundy, Louis Latour's Mâcon-Lugny 'Les Genièvres' is a benchmark representation of accessible yet beautifully crafted Chardonnay. The vineyard of 'Les Genièvres' owes its name to the wild juniper bushes (genévriers) that once dominated these sun-drenched slopes before they were cleared for viticulture. The clay-limestone soils of Lugny are legendary for imparting a distinct mineral core and vibrant acidity to the grapes. Fermented traditionally in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve the purity of the fruit, this wine captures the essence of the region with its expressive aromas of white flowers, crisp green apple, and subtle honeyed undertones, reflecting Louis Latour's centuries-old commitment to showcasing the diverse terroirs of Burgundy.

Maison Louis Latour blev grundlagt i 1797 og har rødder i Aloxe-Corton helt tilbage fra det 17. århundrede.
