Hailing from the limestone-rich slopes of the Côte Chalonnaise in southern Burgundy, Montagny 1er Cru 'La Grande Roche' is a brilliant expression of Chardonnay. The name 'La Grande Roche' refers to the prominent rocky outcrop overlooking the vineyards, a testament to the stony, calcium-rich soils that define this terroir. Maison Louis Latour crafts this wine using traditional stainless steel fermentation to preserve the pure, vibrant fruit and intense minerality characteristic of the site. It undergoes full malolactic fermentation to add a subtle roundness, resulting in a beautifully balanced white Burgundy that captures the essence of its rugged, sun-drenched hillside.
