Situated in the prestigious Vosne-Romanée appellation, the Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru 'Les Quatre Journaux' is one of Maison Louis Latour's most legendary red wines. The name 'Quatre Journaux' refers to an ancient Burgundian land measurement; a 'journal' represented the area of vines a single worker could cultivate in one day, making this historic parcel approximately 1.36 hectares. The Latour family acquired this prized plot in stages starting in 1898 from the Marey-Monge family. The terroir here features deep, clay-rich limestone soils that impart an unparalleled aromatic complexity and velvety texture to the Pinot Noir. Vinified traditionally in open wooden vats and aged in 100% new French oak barrels from Latour's own cooperage, this wine is celebrated for its exquisite balance of power and silkiness, offering notes of ripe red berries, underbrush, and delicate spices.

Maison Louis Latour blev grundlagt i 1797 og har rødder i Aloxe-Corton helt tilbage fra det 17. århundrede.
