Louis Latour's Bourgogne Rouge is the quintessential introduction to the red wines of Burgundy. Sourced from select vineyards across the Côte d'Or, Côte Chalonnaise, and Couchois, this wine represents a masterclass in regional blending that the house has perfected since its founding in 1797. Historically, regional Bourgogne Rouge served as the daily table wine of Burgundian winemakers, yet Louis Latour treats it with the same meticulous care as their higher-tier appellations. The grapes are vinified in traditional open-top vats before undergoing malolactic fermentation and aging in stainless steel and neutral oak vats for approximately 10 to 12 months. This preserves the bright, fresh red fruit characteristics of the Pinot Noir grape while imparting a subtle, elegant structure that reflects the limestone-rich soils of the region.

Maison Louis Latour blev grundlagt i 1797 og har rødder i Aloxe-Corton helt tilbage fra det 17. århundrede. Huset er et af Bourgognes mest historiske familieejede negocianter og domæner, drevet gennem mere end 11 generationer.
