Louis Latour's Bourgogne Chardonnay 'Vieilles Vignes' is crafted from older Chardonnay vines, typically over 30 years of age, sourced primarily from selected parcels in the Côte de Beaune. These old vines naturally yield fewer grapes with higher concentration, imparting a richer texture and deeper mineral complexity than standard regional bottlings. Maison Louis Latour, drawing on over two centuries of Burgundian heritage, vinifies this cuvée to balance freshness and structure. The wine undergoes traditional fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by partial malolactic fermentation to introduce a subtle creaminess, resulting in a classic representation of white Burgundy that punches well above its regional classification.
