The 2012 vintage of Cristal Brut is a masterclass in tension and concentration, born from a dramatic growing season in Champagne that defied early-season frosts and torrential rains to deliver a late-summer miracle of perfect ripening. Sourced exclusively from estate-owned Grand Cru vineyards—predominantly from the chalk-rich soils of the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs—this cuvée captures the pure essence of its terroir. A meticulous blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, 32% of the wines were vinified in oak casks to impart a subtle, creamy texture without undergoing malolactic fermentation, preserving the wine's razor-sharp precision. Aged on its lees for six years and rested for an additional eight months post-disgorgement, the 2012 vintage is celebrated for its multi-dimensional depth, vibrant saline minerality, and a silky, effervescent structure that whispers of the historic chalk cellars in which it matured.

Established in 1776 in Reims and renamed in 1833 under the visionary leadership of Louis Roederer, this historic Champagne house remains one of the region's few independent, family-run estates. Renowned for its pioneering spirit, the house manages over 240 hectares of prime Grand and Premier Cru vineyards with an uncompromising commitment to biodynamic and organic farming practices. By utilizing oak casks for aging reserve wines, Louis Roederer crafts sparkling wines of exceptional depth, precision, and longevity.
