The 2015 vintage of Cristal Brut is a remarkable testament to a sun-drenched, continental growing season, defined by a hot, dry summer rescued by timely late-August rains that allowed for perfect phenolic ripeness. This vintage marks a historic milestone for the estate, crafted entirely from 100% biodynamically farmed Grand Cru vineyards across the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs. The chalky soils of these prestigious parcels impart a signature saline tension and crystalline purity to the wine. Cellar Master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon utilized gentle oak foudre aging for a portion of the reserve wines to enhance texture and complexity. After spending over six years aging on its lees, the 2015 Cristal emerges with a brilliant golden hue, offering an exquisite bouquet of candied citrus, toasted almonds, and crushed limestone minerality, wrapped in the legendary flat-bottomed bottle originally designed to safeguard Tsar Alexander II.
