The De Sangre collection by Luigi Bosca represents a deeply personal chapter in the Arizu family history. Historically, these were the private reserve wines kept exclusively for family gatherings and shared only with close friends—literally meaning 'of the bloodline.' This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from select high-altitude vineyards in Luján de Cuyo and Maipú, Mendoza, where the stony, alluvial soils and intense Andean sunlight yield grapes of remarkable concentration and structure. Crafted with traditional fermentation and aged in French oak barrels, this wine showcases the classic Argentine expression of Cabernet Sauvignon: robust yet elegant, with black fruit, cassis, subtle spice, and a distinctive mineral backbone.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1901 by Leoncio Arizu, Bodega Luigi Bosca is one of Argentina's most historic and prestigious wineries, located in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Still family-owned and managed by the Arizu family, the estate has played a pioneering role in Argentine viticulture, notably helping to establish the country's first D.O.C. (Luján de Cuyo) in 1989. The winery's philosophy centers on showcasing the unique high-altitude terroirs of Mendoza through meticulous vineyard management and precise winemaking. Luigi Bosca is highly celebrated for its elegant, structured red blends and single-vineyard expressions, such as the iconic Finca Los Nobles Cabernet Bouchet and Gala 1 Malbec, alongside expressive whites like the Gala 3 Viognier and Linda Chardonnay.
