This exclusive assortment case from the legendary house of M. Chapoutier celebrates the rich, historic tradition of French Vins Doux Naturels (VDN). Originating from the sun-drenched terraced vineyards of Southern France—spanning the steep schist soils of Banyuls, the black marls of Maury, and the limestone of Beaumes-de-Venise—these fortified sweet wines are crafted using the traditional 'mutage' process. This method of arresting fermentation by adding neutral grape spirit was pioneered in the 13th century by the physician and alchemist Arnaud de Villeneuve. Chapoutier, a pioneer in biodynamic viticulture, showcases the diverse expressions of Grenache (Noir, Gris, and Blanc) and Muscat à Petits Grains within this collection. Each bottle features the house's signature Braille labeling, a tribute to Maurice de La Sizeranne, reflecting Chapoutier's deep commitment to inclusivity and heritage.

M. Chapoutier blev grundlagt i 1808 i Tain-l'Hermitage i Rhônedalen og har siden udviklet sig til et af Frankrigs mest berømte vinhuse. Husets internationale stjernestatus tog for alvor fart, da Michel Chapoutier overtog roret i 1990 med sin kompromisløse vision. Som pioner inden for biodynamisk vindyrkning og minimal intervention i vinkælderen er ejendommen særligt hyldet for sine enkeltmarks-aftapninger, 'sélections parcellaires', der formidler de fineste terroiregenskaber på tværs af Rhône og andre vinregioner.
