✨ Technical Specifications

Hailing from the legendary, sun-drenched slopes of the Hermitage hill in the northern Rhône, M. Chapoutier's 'Le Méal' Blanc is a monumental expression of 100% Marsanne. The vineyard of Le Méal is steeped in history, situated on a steep, south-facing terrace composed of ancient glacial alluvial deposits, large rolled pebbles, and loess that capture and radiate the intense sun. Michel Chapoutier, a pioneer of biodynamic farming, crafts this single-vineyard 'Sélection Parcellaire' with meticulous care, fermenting and aging the wine in oak casks with regular lees stirring to build its signature opulent texture. This rare assortment case, spanning the 2012 to 2017 vintages, showcases the profound evolution of this terroir. Chapoutier's historic touch is also represented on the bottle by the inclusion of Braille lettering, a tribute to the blind singer Gilbert Montagné and a nod to the estate's commitment to accessibility.
