Hailing from the steep, sun-drenched granite terraces of Saint-Joseph in the Northern Rhône, M. Chapoutier's 'Les Granits' Blanc is a masterclass in the expression of 100% Marsanne. Michel Chapoutier, a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture, crafts this cuvée from some of the oldest vines in the appellation, rooted in stony, fractured granite soils that impart a distinctive minerality and structural tension. Historically, the steep slopes of Tournon were highly prized by French royalty, and Chapoutier honors this heritage with meticulous hand-harvesting. The wine is fermented and aged in demi-muids with regular lees stirring, seamlessly blending luxurious texture, notes of white peach, acacia, and toasted almonds with a vibrant, granite-driven acidity. Notably, the label features Braille, a signature Chapoutier tribute to the blind singer Gilbert Montagné.
