Maison Alex Gambal's Bourgogne Pinot Noir "Vieilles Vignes" represents a masterful blending of old-vine parcels selected from prestigious sectors of the Côte d'Or. By sourcing fruit from vines that have spent decades deep in Burgundy's classic clay-limestone soils, this cuvée captures a depth and concentration that far exceeds standard regional classifications. The old vines naturally yield smaller, more concentrated berries, resulting in a wine of remarkable purity, structure, and expressive red fruit character. Vinified with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels with minimal intervention, it reflects the classic Burgundian philosophy of letting the terroir speak directly through the glass, marrying the vibrant energy of Pinot Noir with a refined, earthy complexity.

Maison Alex Gambal blev grundlagt i 1997 af amerikanske Alex Gambal efter endte vinbrugsstudier i Beaune, og vinhuset udgør en bemærkelsesværdig bro mellem Den Nye Verdens passion og klassisk bourgognisk tradition. Med base i historiske kældre langs boulevarden i hjertet af Beaune har huset udviklet sig fra at være et boutique-négociantfirma til et fuldgyldigt domaine med egne vinmarker, dedikeret til økologiske principper og minimal indgriben i vinfremstillingen. Domaine Alex Gambal skaber udtryksfulde, terroir-drevne vine, hvor naturlig gær og nænsom fadlagring fremhæver den rene essens af de legendariske climats.
