Marqués de Riscal, established in 1858, stands as a pioneering titan of Rioja, famously introducing Bordeaux winemaking techniques to the region. The Arienzo Crianza, a beloved modern classic in their portfolio, represents a vibrant and approachable expression of Rioja's historic terroir. Crafted primarily from Tempranillo, with touchpoints of Graciano and Mazuelo, the grapes are sourced from selected vineyards in Rioja Alavesa. Here, the clay-limestone soils and Atlantic-influenced climate yield fruit with exceptional freshness. In keeping with the Crianza tradition, the wine undergoes aging in American oak barrels for a minimum of 15 months, marrying the bright red berry fruit character of cherry and plum with subtle, sweet notes of coconut, vanilla, and wood spice.
