🍾 About the Producer
Established in 2005 as Viña Concha y Toro's premier terroir-driven estate in northern Chile, Maycas del Limarí is situated along the southern banks of the Limarí River in the Coquimbo Region. Under the direction of celebrated winemaker Marcelo Papa, the estate was conceived to unlock the viticultural potential of one of Chile’s coolest and driest macro-climates. Limarí’s semi-arid, sun-drenched topography is moderated by the Pacific Ocean, where daily morning fogs (camanchaca) and cooling maritime breezes safeguard vibrant natural acidity. The vines thrive on ancient alluvial terraces composed of red clay interspersed with chalky, calcium carbonate-rich limestone, imparting distinct mineral tension and structural elegance. Guided by low-intervention cellar practices and sustainable vineyard management, Maycas del Limarí has garnered international acclaim for cool-climate Burgundian varieties, benchmarked by the single-vineyard San Julián Pinot Noir and Quebrada Seca Chardonnay.
