In Victoria, Marsanne has a legendary history, finding a second spiritual home in the region's sandy loam soils and warm days tempered by cool nights. Winemaker Jo Nash masterfully coaxes out the distinct personalities of both varieties: the Marsanne provides a structured, textured backbone with notes of citrus and honeysuckle, while the Viognier injects a luscious, aromatic lift of stone fruit and exotic spice. Established in 1968, McPherson Wines is an esteemed family-owned estate deeply rooted in the diverse microclimates of Central Victoria, particularly the riverine soils of Nagambie Lakes and the granite outcrops of the Strathbogie Ranges.
