Originating from the warm, sun-drenched vineyards of Central Victoria, the Vermentino grape thrives in conditions reminiscent of its Mediterranean homeland in Sardinia and Liguria. Winemaker Jo Nash crafts this wine to emphasize freshness and purity, utilizing cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape's natural aromatic profile. Established in 1968, McPherson Wines is an esteemed family-owned estate deeply rooted in the diverse microclimates of Central Victoria, particularly the riverine soils of Nagambie Lakes and the granite outcrops of the Strathbogie Ranges. Co-founded by Jock McPherson and spearheaded by his son Andrew McPherson, the winery bridges estate-grown fruit with selective regional parcels to produce expressive, fruit-forward wines that over-deliver on varietal definition.
