Sourced from select vineyards across South Eastern Australia, the wine undergoes careful fermentation to balance Cabernet's classic blackcurrant and subtle herbal notes with the powerful dark plum, spice, and chewy tannins characteristic of Durif. Established in 1968, McPherson Wines is an esteemed family-owned estate deeply rooted in the diverse microclimates of Central Victoria, particularly the riverine soils of Nagambie Lakes and the granite outcrops of the Strathbogie Ranges. Co-founded by Jock McPherson and spearheaded by his son Andrew McPherson, the winery bridges estate-grown fruit with selective regional parcels to produce expressive, fruit-forward wines that over-deliver on varietal definition.
