✨ Technical Specifications
The McPherson Three Vineyards Shiraz is a thoughtful tribute to the diverse terroirs of Victoria, drawing its name and character from three carefully selected vineyard sites across the region. This blending philosophy allows the winemaking team to craft a Shiraz of exceptional balance and consistency, marrying the intense, ripe dark fruit profiles of warmer sites with the elegant structure and peppery spice of cooler microclimates. The McPherson family's winemaking heritage in Victoria shines through in this bottling, which undergoes careful fermentation and modest oak aging to ensure the vibrant, juicy fruit remains the star. It represents a classic, approachable expression of Victorian Shiraz, celebrated for its soft tannins, rich plum notes, and subtle touch of toasted spice.
🍾 About the Producer
Established in 1968, McPherson Wines is an esteemed family-owned estate deeply rooted in the diverse microclimates of Central Victoria, particularly the riverine soils of Nagambie Lakes and the granite outcrops of the Strathbogie Ranges. Co-founded by Jock McPherson and spearheaded by his son Andrew McPherson, the winery bridges estate-grown fruit with selective regional parcels to produce expressive, fruit-forward wines that over-deliver on varietal definition. Under the seasoned stewardship of chief winemaker Jo Nash, the cellar exercises a philosophy centered on pristine fruit preservation, judicial oak integration, and textural clarity. The house portfolio balances classic Australian standards with dynamic modern styling, spanning from the textured Laneway Chardonnay and mineral-laced MWC Pinot Gris to vibrant Rhone and Italian varietals such as Bella Luna Fiano and Aquarius Marsanne Viognier, embodying the generous warmth and accessible sophistication of Victoria's viticultural landscape.
