The 'Vintage Secret' name pays homage to the family's decades of winemaking experience in the Goulburn Valley and Murray Darling regions, where warm days and cool nights yield grapes with rich flavor concentration and balanced acidity. Winemaker Jo Nash carefully selects parcels of Shiraz to create a harmonious blend, utilizing modern temperature-controlled fermentation and gentle oak maturation. This process coaxes out classic notes of ripe plum, blackberry, and subtle cracked black pepper, delivering a smooth, medium-bodied red that captures the generous spirit of Central Victoria's terroir.

Established in 1968, McPherson Wines is an esteemed family-owned estate deeply rooted in the diverse microclimates of Central Victoria, particularly the riverine soils of Nagambie Lakes and the granite outcrops of the Strathbogie Ranges. Co-founded by Jock McPherson and spearheaded by his son Andrew McPherson, the winery bridges estate-grown fruit with selective regional parcels to produce expressive, fruit-forward wines that over-deliver on varietal definition.
