Crafted by McPherson Cellars in Lubbock, Texas, this Albariño pays homage to the pioneering spirit of the McPherson family, who have been instrumental in shaping the Texas wine industry since the 1970s. Dr. Clinton 'Doc' McPherson, a chemistry professor and grape-growing visionary, was among the first to realize that Iberian varieties would flourish in the challenging terroir of the Texas High Plains. Today, his son Kim McPherson continues this legacy, sourcing fruit from the high-altitude, sandy-loam vineyards of the High Plains AVA. The region's intense sun, constant winds, and dramatic diurnal temperature swings preserve the grape's signature high acidity while coaxing out lush tropical and stone fruit flavors. This wine is fermented in stainless steel to maintain its bright, clean, and expressive varietal character.
