McPherson Cellars, founded by Kim McPherson in Lubbock, Texas, carries on the pioneering legacy of his father, Doc McPherson, who was instrumental in founding the modern Texas wine industry. In the hot, semi-arid climate of the High Plains, Viognier thrives remarkably well, yielding rich aromatics without losing its essential freshness. McPherson's approach to this grape emphasizes purity of fruit, utilizing stainless steel fermentation to preserve the delicate, exotic aromas of white peach, honeysuckle, and citrus blossom, resulting in a beautifully textured yet vibrant white wine that showcases the potential of Texas viticulture.

McPherson Wines blev grundlagt i 1993 af Andrew McPherson som en videreførelse af en stolt vinfamiliearv, der går tilbage til 1968.
