Hailing from the dramatic alpine landscapes of Trentino-Alto Adige, Mezzacorona's 'Firmian' Pinot Grigio pays homage to the historic Castel Firmian, a 15th-century fortress overlooking the Adige Valley. Established in 1904, the Mezzacorona cooperative has mastered the art of high-altitude viticulture. This 100% Pinot Grigio is grown on the alluvial, mineral-rich soils of the valley floor, where the vines benefit from the dramatic temperature swings between warm alpine days and cool mountain nights, as well as the drying 'Ora del Garda' breeze. To preserve its vibrant fruit character and crisp acidity, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, resulting in a classic Trentino white characterized by notes of fresh pear, white peach, and a distinct mineral backbone.
