La Causa Cinsault by Miguel Torres Chile is a tribute to the viticultural heritage of the Itata Valley in southern Chile, where Spanish conquistadors first planted vines in the 16th century. The name 'La Causa' (The Cause) reflects the winery's mission to rescue, preserve, and champion the ancestral, dry-farmed, bush-trained vineyards cultivated by small-scale local growers in this historic region. Grown on ancient granitic soils cooled by maritime breezes from the Pacific, this Cinsault is crafted using traditional, low-intervention methods, including fermentation in stainless steel and aging in neutral oak vessels to preserve its vibrant, fruit-forward character. It showcases the rustic elegance, bright acidity, and wild berry notes typical of Itata's unique terroir.
