✨ Technical Specifications
Born from the innovative spirit of Miguel A. Torres in the late 1960s, Gran Coronas Reserva represents a landmark moment in Spanish winemaking history. Torres dared to plant French Cabernet Sauvignon in the clay-limestone soils of Catalunya, blending this international noble grape with the traditional Spanish Tempranillo. This bold experiment challenged the conservative winemaking norms of the era and ultimately redefined the potential of Catalan reds. Aged meticulously in French oak barrels, the wine marries the structure and dark fruit character of Cabernet with the vibrant red fruit and fleshy texture of Tempranillo, yielding a complex profile of cassis, wild berries, black pepper, and subtle balsamic notes.
