Hailing from the slate and gravel soils of the Conca de Barberà DO in Catalunya, Torres Grans Muralles is a liquid monument to Catalan viticultural heritage. Its name pays homage to the formidable stone walls that once protected the nearby Cistercian monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet. This wine is celebrated for reviving lost history; it incorporates ancestral grape varieties like Garró and Querol—painstakingly recovered by the Torres family after being nearly wiped out by the phylloxera epidemic of the late 19th century—blended with Cariñena, Garnacha, and Monastrell. Aged in French oak, the wine displays a profound complexity, balancing dark fruit, balsamic notes, and intense minerality.
