Crafted by the legendary Familia Torres in the high-altitude vineyards of Penedès, Catalunya, 'Waltraud' is a beautiful tribute of love and viticultural innovation. Miguel A. Torres created this wine for his German wife, Waltraud Maczassek, who missed the noble Rieslings of her homeland. To make this possible in Mediterranean Spain, Torres planted Riesling in the cool, elevated parcels of the Penedès Superior, where cooler nights allow the grape to retain its signature high acidity and delicate aromatic profile. Vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve its pristine fruit, this 100% Riesling offers a captivating aromatic bouquet of citrus blossoms, jasmine, and ripe stone fruits, married with a subtle, silky texture and a mineral-driven finish.
