First created in 1869, Moët Impérial Brut is the iconic flagship of Moët & Chandon, embodying the house's signature style of vibrant fruitiness, an elegant palate, and a seductive maturity. The name 'Impérial' pays homage to the legendary relationship between the Moët family and Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, who famously visited the house's cellars in Épernay multiple times and awarded Jean-Rémy Moët the Légion d'Honneur. Crafted from a meticulous blend of over 100 different wines, including a generous proportion of reserve wines to ensure consistency, this non-vintage Champagne reflects the rich diversity of the Champagne terroir. The assemblage relies on the structure of Pinot Noir, the roundness of Pinot Meunier, and the exquisite freshness of Chardonnay, aged for at least 24 months on its lees to develop its characteristic brioche and citrus complexity.
