Hailing from the historic hillsides of Chouilly, a renowned Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs, Les Vignes de Saran is a rare and prestigious still white wine (Coteaux Champenois) crafted by Moët & Chandon. The wine's heritage is deeply intertwined with the Château de Saran, a grand estate acquired by Jean-Rémy Moët in 1801. For generations, this still Chardonnay was reserved exclusively for the private guests of the Moët family at the château before being released in highly limited quantities. Sourced from the chalk-rich, sun-drenched slopes surrounding the estate, this wine showcases the pure, mineral-driven expression of Grand Cru Chardonnay. Vinified without bubbles, it undergoes traditional aging to reveal a rich, textured palate balanced by vibrant acidity, offering a fascinating glimpse into Champagne's historic still winemaking tradition.
