✨ wine.spec_sheet

While 'Blue Ribbon' is an obscure or historic merchant designation, Niepoort's Vintage Ports are globally revered as benchmarks of elegance, structure, and longevity. Under the guidance of the historic Niepoort house, their Vintage Ports are sourced from ancient, low-yielding field blend vineyards in the Cima Corgo region of the Douro Valley, featuring traditional varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Co, and Tinta Roriz. The winemaking remains deeply traditional, utilizing foot-treading in granite lagares to gently extract deep color and firm tannins. Unlike more muscular styles, Niepoort's Vintage Ports are celebrated for their precision, mineral-driven core, and seamless balance, aging gracefully in large wooden vats before bottling to preserve their vibrant fruit and terroir expression.
