✨ wine.spec_sheet

Dirk Niepoort's venture into the Dão region, Conciso (meaning concise or precise), is a tribute to the traditional, elegant Dão reds of yesteryear. Sourced from centenarian field-blend vineyards planted on the granite slopes of the Serra da Estrela, this wine is dominated by Baga and Jaen. Dirk sought to move away from the heavy, over-extracted modern styles, instead crafting a wine of remarkable freshness, low alcohol, and high acidity. Fermented in traditional granite lagares and aged in large, neutral wooden foudres, Conciso captures the ethereal, mineral-driven essence of the Dão's ancient soils, showcasing a delicate profile of red berries, pine needle, and wet stone.
