Niepoort's White Colheita is a rare and exquisite expression of single-vintage White Port, aged for a minimum of seven years—and often several decades—in small, historic oak casks known as pipes. Sourced from ancient, low-yielding vineyards planted on the steep, schistous slopes of the Douro Valley, this wine is crafted from a field blend of traditional white grapes, including Côdega, Rabigato, Viosinho, Arinto, and Gouveio. Over its long sleep in the cool cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, the wine undergoes a slow, oxidative transformation, shedding its youthful fruit to develop a deep amber hue and an incredibly complex bouquet of dried apricots, orange peel, toasted almonds, and exotic spices.
