The Benjamin line by Nieto Senetiner represents the youthful, vibrant spirit of Mendoza winemaking. Named in honor of the traditional Spanish term for the youngest sibling, Benjamin signifies freshness, accessibility, and early-drinking appeal. This Merlot is crafted to showcase the pure, uncomplicated fruit character of the variety when grown in the sunny, high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza. Unlike the estate's heavier, oak-aged reserves, the Benjamin Merlot undergoes a temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve its bright red fruit aromas, soft tannins, and juicy acidity. It is an approachable red that captures the daily wine-drinking culture of Argentina, where simple, well-made wines are shared around the family table.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1888 by Italian immigrants in the premier wine-growing region of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Nieto Senetiner is one of Argentina's most historic and prestigious wineries. The estate was acquired by the Nieto and Senetiner families in 1969, who expanded its facilities while preserving its architectural heritage, and it is now part of the Perez Companc Group. Renowned for its deep respect for terroir, the winery crafts exceptional wines from historic vineyards, including the centenarian vines of Finca Villa Blanca planted in 1906. Under the guidance of winemaker Santiago Mayorga, Nieto Senetiner produces elegant, structured wines, most notably their acclaimed Don Nicanor Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and innovative blends that showcase the classic character of Mendoza.
