Named in honor of Don Nicanor Nieto, one of the founding pioneers of the estate, the Don Nicanor Barrel Select Malbec is a tribute to the winery's deep-rooted history in Mendoza. Sourced from selected high-altitude parcels in Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, this wine showcases the classic synergy between Mendoza's intense solar radiation and cool mountain nights. The grapes undergo meticulous fermentation followed by aging in French oak barrels, a process that tempers Malbec's natural exuberance with refined tannins, complex notes of cocoa, tobacco, and vanilla, and a structured, elegant finish that honors traditional Argentine winemaking.

Founded in 1888 by Italian immigrants in the premier wine-growing region of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Nieto Senetiner is one of Argentina's most historic and prestigious wineries. The estate was acquired by the Nieto and Senetiner families in 1969, who expanded its facilities while preserving its architectural heritage, and it is now part of the Perez Companc Group. Renowned for its deep respect for terroir, the winery crafts exceptional wines from historic vineyards, including the centenarian vines of Finca Villa Blanca planted in 1906. Under the guidance of winemaker Santiago Mayorga, Nieto Senetiner produces elegant, structured wines, most notably their acclaimed Don Nicanor Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and innovative blends that showcase the classic character of Mendoza.
